I Recently had to rewire a kitchen due to poor cable installation that was causing the RCD to trip on a 5-10 year old circuit.
It's very rare to have to fully rewire during fault finding, but most of the cables were damaged beyond repair.
While rewiring, I also installed a new oven/cooker circuit supply to ensure everything is up to standard.
